This is a simple speed calculator for small-frame vespas.
The only condition to make it work is to have Microsoft Excel 2000 or Sun StarOffice on you computer.
Is is very easy to use.
You can only vary three parameters, that have a white cell:
1) the primary gear (in Italian Rapporto Primaria)
2) the wheel circumference (in Italian Circonf. Ruota mm)
3) the rpm (in a separate cell)
NOTE:
The gear used is the 4 gear Et3/Primavera/Special one, with a column for short Zirri 4th gear. I didn’t put the 3 gear one, because I don’t think anybody is interested in it (at least those who use this website).
Unlike the other software I saw on the net, I left the wheel circumference free on purpose (I could put 3.50-10 or 3.00-10…) ‘cause if you go to the garage and measure your wheels from different brands you’ll find some surprises. Just try to see how a little 3cm difference can influence the final speed.
